Kitty-kinda-lunch ❤️

It's Saturday! Saturday means no work, no stress and no annoying meetings. I couldn't be more excited to experience the day with lots of chilling, basically doing nothing more than heading to the gym in the morning then laze around all day.

My love for Hello Kitty has no limits, it makes me happy to do this kind of setting for my lunch. It's my favorite character and I can't help it. It's too cute to be true.

However, it doesn't stop me from being awesome by cooking my own lunch. Although, I've got my Gado-Gado from one of my favorite restaurant, Tesate but the rest are my very own homemade creation.

Not the usual kind of Gado-Gado but this is amazing!

Here's their awesome peanut sauce, I usually pour 1/3... it's fattening 😝

My very own recipe Salmon with Broccoli, Peach & Pear. It's amazing!

And yes, fruits on the side. As usual.

Last but not least, it's my strawberry infused water 🍓

Plaza Indonesia's Beauty Week 💋

It's Plaza Indonesia's Beauty Week! I'm so excited to participate their beauty event this year. I love beauty products with all my heart. ❤️ Gotta say that this makes me feel all gittery and thrilled to attend this month.

Basically, the event is at La Moda 1st floor of Plaza Indonesia. It was around 2 hours beauty talk from All You Need To Know To Get The Perfect Skin by Dr. Iva Stoilova & Velove Vexi, get the look by Becca with Gina Antone, Klara Spring Summer 2017 Color Trend with Klara Sabotski, and last but not least, Hair Trend by Toni & Guy.

We've got snacks at our table which was amazing and I get to meet a new friends at the event itself! How cool is that 😍

Ikebana 1.0 🌸

Ikebana is not just about sticking a flower into vase: it is about the love and need of the artist to create beautiful forms... Ikebana is not just about flowers, it is about the person who arranges them. - Ikebana Quotes

I love flowers. There I said it. It's that simple for me, real or fake flowers? No problem as long as it's pretty much like a flower but my ultimate favorite would be, Hydrangea and White Roses.

I had this urge to learn since I was in Junior High School but I had no time for that. My parents weren't saying yes about it too so I kind of give up on the idea of Ikebana completely. Then, I the idea came up around end of March to find somewhere close to home or the office to learn Ikebana. Voila! I found one with the Ikebana Master around Cikini, Menteng area.

I finally had the chance to learn Ikebana for real! It's something completely different than buying bouquets for gifts or simple flower arrangements. Ikebana itself has different styles, types and rules to do its arrangement.

Here's what I made on my first two sessions with Ibu Herliana Wiharsa, the Ikenobo Master in Jakarta.

Lesson No. 1.1 - Jiyuka (Free Style) Natural

Lesson 1.2 - Jiyuka (Free Style) Natural

Lesson 2.1 - Jiyuka (Free Style) Natural

Lesson 2.2 - Jiyuka (Free Style) Natural

I can honestly say, Ikebana is hard. It's not as easy as making a hand bouquets or simple flower arrangement. It requires in depth knowledge about a lot of things apparently but I ain't giving up! 🌸

Raise, Aim, Shoot 🏹

Nothing clears a troubled mind better than shooting a bow 🏹

It's been a while since my last archery experience. I totally forget how to aim and shoot, how pathetic. It was depressing yet thrilling to learn what I've forgotten. I feel like the lame version of Katniss Everdeen who missed a lot of shots although, I can't help my sassy remarks when I screw things up.

The field itself isn't that great, I personally love the one in Senayan but sadly, it's under renovation. That saturday, I tried the one in Cempaka Putih since my coach is there for that weekend, the place wasn't so great but it's tolerable to shoot some arrow on the target. At the end, all is well.

Baby Back Ribs & Roasted Chicken 🍽

Cooking is one of the least favorite thing I'd like to do. Cooking for myself is a yes, but for someone else? Not so much. I'm only gonna cook for someone who's worth my effort and going to appreciate what I offer on the table. Hence, the person must be pretty special to me otherwise I won't do it at all.

I can say I enjoy cooking vegetables, chicken or fish fillets on regular basis but when it comes to one whole chicken. I feel so disgusted. It has this odor and disgusting feeling to see the heart and blood of a chicken but once it's roasted with seasonings. It turns out pretty awesome everytime.

Other than chicken, I love Baby Back Ribs a lot and this one here's pretty similar to Tony Romas. I guess I'm not that bad afterall.

Ever heard a saying, "You are what you eat?" It makes me wonder, that's pretty true but oh well. #YOLO!
